RESUMO

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a complicated joint disorder characterized by inflammation that causes joint destruction. Cucurbitacin B (CuB) is a naturally occurring triterpenoid compound derived from plants in the Cucurbitaceae family. The aim of this study is to investigate the potential role and mechanisms of CuB in a mouse model of OA. This study identified the key targets and potential pathways of CuB through network pharmacology analysis. In vivo and in vitro studies confirmed the potential mechanisms of CuB in OA. Through network pharmacology, 54 potential targets for CuB in treating OA were identified. The therapeutic potential of CuB is associated with the nod-like receptor pyrin domain 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome and pyroptosis. Molecular docking results indicate a strong binding affinity of CuB to nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and p65. In vitro experiments demonstrate that CuB effectively inhibits the expression of pro-inflammatory factors induced by interleukin-1ß (IL-1ß), including cyclooxygenase-2, inducible nitric oxide synthase, IL-1ß, and IL-18. CuB inhibits the degradation of type II collagen and aggrecan in the extracellular matrix (ECM), as well as the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-13 and a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs-5. CuB protects cells by activating the Nrf2/hemeoxygenase-1 (HO-1) pathway and inhibiting nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB)/NLRP3 inflammasome-mediated pyroptosis. Moreover, in vivo experiments show that CuB can slow down cartilage degradation in an OA mouse model. CuB effectively prevents the progression of OA by inhibiting inflammation in chondrocytes and ECM degradation. This action is further mediated through the activation of the Nrf2/HO-1 pathway to inhibit NF-κB/NLRP3 inflammasome activation. Thus, CuB is a potential therapeutic agent for OA.

BACKGROUND: Marital status is a potentially essential factor for cognitive impairment. Relevant research examining the potential pathways through which the marital status of spouseless older people is associated with cognitive impairment needs to be more adequate. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the serial mediating effects of various forms of social support and depression between marital status and cognitive impairment in older Chinese people. METHODS: This study involved a secondary analysis of data from the 2014-2018 wave of the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS), with a total of 2,647 Chinese older adults and 53.6% being males. Mediation analysis using the SPSS process macro was conducted. RESULTS: The results indicated that marital status was significantly predictive of cognitive impairment among older people, and those with a spouse exhibited higher cognitive functioning. Informal social support and depression were found to play partial mediating roles in the association between marital status and cognitive impairment. The findings also revealed that marital status was unrelated to formal social support, and no association between formal social support and cognitive impairment was found. CONCLUSIONS: The study findings highlight the need for social service providers to design programs for promoting connections associated with informal support to reduce their risk of depression and cognitive impairment and for policymakers to develop effective formal social support systems for older people without spouses. This study indicated that older people could regain the benefits of marriage to lower the risk of depression and improve their mental health.

INTRODUCTION: Autonomic symptoms have been long recognized to occur with pain in the head, e.g., trigeminal neuralgia and trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias. Symptoms occur during pain attacks, so they are assumed to be activated by nociceptive afferents of the trigeminal nerve. Herein, we present a patient with hypersalivation that occurred following percutaneous balloon compression for trigeminal neuralgia, although being pain-free after the treatment. CASE PRESENTATION: The patient was a 71-year-old woman who experienced excessive salivation on the affected side after percutaneous balloon compression. She underwent microvascular decompression several years ago, and both microvascular decompression and preoperative imaging confirmed the absence of an offending vessel at the root entry zone of the trigeminal nerve. After percutaneous balloon compression, the patient was free of pain, but the autonomic symptom (hypersalivation) occurred. Autonomic symptoms that usually emerge along with pain presented only after percutaneous balloon compression in this patient. CONCLUSIONS: Contrary to popular belief, in the patient who was pain-free after percutaneous balloon compression, the transiently overactivated nerve fibers that led to hypersalivation were not nociceptive afferents of the trigeminal nerve.

Declining estrogen production in postmenopausal females causes osteoporosis in which the resorption of bone exceeds the increase in bone formation. Although clinical drugs are currently available for the treatment of osteoporosis, sustained medication use is accompanied by serious side effects. Corydalis bungeana Herba, a famous traditional Chinese herb listed in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission, constitutes various traditional Chinese Medicine prescriptions, which date back to thousands of years. One of the primary active components of C. bungeana Turcz. is Corynoline (Cor), a plant isoquinoline alkaloid derived from the Corydalis species, which possesses bone metabolism disease therapeutic potential. The study aimed at exploring the effects as well as mechanisms of Cor on osteoclast formation and bone resorption. TRAcP staining, F-actin belt formation, and pit formation were employed for assessing the osteoclast function. Western blot, qPCR, network pharmacology, and docking analyses were used for analyzing the expression of osteoclast-associated genes and related signaling pathways. The study focused on investigating how Cor affected OVX-induced trabecular bone loss by using a mouse model. Cor could weaken osteoclast formation and function by affecting the biological receptor activators of NF-κB and its ligand at various concentrations. Mechanistically, Cor inhibited the NF-κB activation, and the MAPKs pathway stimulated by RANKL. Besides, Cor enhanced the protein stability of the Nrf2, which effectively abolished the RANKL-stimulated ROS generation. According to an OVX mouse model, Cor functions in restoring bone mass, improving microarchitecture, and reducing the ROS levels in the distal femurs, which corroborated with its in vitro antiosteoclastogenic effect. The present study indicates that Cor may restrain osteoclast formation and bone loss by modulating NF-κB/MAPKs and Nrf2 signaling pathways. Cor was shown to be a potential drug candidate that can be utilized for the treatment of osteoporosis.

BACKGROUND: Implant choice for the fixation of femoral neck fracture is one of the most important management controversies. This study aims to evaluate and compare the short-term outcomes associated with the use of the Femoral Neck System (FNS), Multiple Cancellous Screws (MCS), and Dynamic Hip Screws (DHS) in treating femoral neck fractures in a young patient population. METHODS: From June 2018 to June 2021, a total of 120 surgeries for a primary femoral neck fracture were retrospectively analyzed. This review encompassed demographic details of the patients and the mechanisms behind the injuries. Key surgical parameters such as operation duration, intraoperative blood loss, fluoroscopy duration, and hospital stay were meticulously documented. The employed surgical technique was described. All patients were followed up at 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months postoperatively. Avascular necrosis of the femoral head (AVN), nonunion, malreduction, implant failure or other complications were noted. The functional status at the last follow-up was assessed using the Harris functional scoring criteria. RESULTS: There were 90 males and 30 females, with a mean age of 40.4 years. As to patient characteristics, there were no significant differences between the three groups. DHS group showed longer operation time(52.15 ± 4.80 min), more blood loss(59.05 ± 5.87 ml) and longer time of hospitalization(7.6 ± 0.90 d) than FNS group (39.65 ± 2.84 min, 45.33 ± 9.63 ml and 4.87 ± 0.48 d) and MCS group (39.45 ± 3.10 min, 48.15 ± 7.88 ml and 5.04 ± 0.49 d) (p < 0.05). In addition, the time of fluoroscopy in FNS group (15.45 ± 3.67) was less than that in MCS group (26.3 ± 4.76) and DHS group (27.1 ± 5.67) (p < 0.05). The cost of FNS group(44.51 ± 2.99 thousand RMB) was significantly higher than the MCS and DHS groups. The FNS, MCS and DHS groups showed a similar mean length of femoral neck shortening (LFNS) and Harris score. The FNS, MCS and DHS groups showed a similar mean rate of AVN and internal fixation failure. CONCLUSIONS: Following successful fracture reduction, FNS, MCS, and DHS are effective for in the young femoral neck fractures. No difference was found in complications between the three groups. However, the reduced fluoroscopy time associated with FNS contributes to shorter operation durations. The adoption of minimally invasive techniques correlates with decreased blood loss and shorter hospital stays. Nevertheless, these advantages may be offset by the potential economic burden they impose.

Tin halide perovskites are rising as promising candidates for next-generation optoelectronic materials due to their good optoelectronic properties and relatively low toxicity. However, the high defect density and the easy oxidation of Sn2+ have limited their optoelectronic performance. Herein, we report the treatment of the FASnI3 (formamidinium tin, FA) perovskite film by a bifunctional cesium fluoride (CsF) additive, which improves the film quality and significantly enhances the photoelectric performance. The responsivity of the perovskite-based photodetector (PD) with an optimal CsF concentration of 15% is over 60 times larger than that of the PD without CsF. It indicates that both the Cs substitution and the fluoride anion additive from CsF inhibit the oxidation of Sn2+, optimize the crystal growth, and passivate the defects, demonstrating the dual roles of the CsF additive in improving the photoelectric performance. This work offers valuable insights into the additive selection for developing high-quality tin-based perovskite films and devices.

Objective: To analyze the relationship between serum complement component 1q (C1q) levels and functional prognosis in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH), and to reveal its clinical value. Methods: In this prospective cohort study, we collected clinical data of aSAH patients admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery, Hangzhou First People's Hospital from January 2020 to October 2022. Parameters such as serum C1q levels, Hunt-Hess grade, modified Fisher grade, and the modified Rankin scale (mRS) at 3 months were included for evaluation. Patients were grouped based on the occurrence of delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI). Spearman rank correlation test and Kruskal-Wallis rank sum test were used to analyze the correlation between serum C1q levels, disease severity, and prognosis. Potential risk factors affecting prognosis and the occurrence of DCI were screened through Independent sample t-test or Mann-Whitney U test. Variables with significant differences (p < 0.05) were incorporated into a logistic regression model to identify independent risk factors affecting prognosis and DCI occurrence. Serum C1q levels were plotted as a ROC curve for predicting prognosis and DCI, and the area under the curve was calculated. Results: A total of 107 aSAH patients were analyzed. Serum C1q levels positively correlated with Hunt-Hess grade, modified Fisher grade and mRS (all p < 0.001). Significant differences were observed in C1q levels among different Hunt-Hess grade, mFisher grade and mRS (all p < 0.001). Notably, higher serum C1q levels were seen in the poor prognosis group and DCI group, and correlated with worse prognosis (OR = 36.927, 95%CI 2.003-680.711, p = 0.015), and an increased risk for DCI (OR = 17.334, 95%CI 1.161-258.859, p = 0.039). ROC analysis revealed the significant discriminative power of serum C1q levels for poor prognosis (AUC 0.781; 95%CI 0.673-0.888; p < 0.001) and DCI occurrence (AUC 0.763; 95%CI 0.637-0.888; p < 0.001). Higher C1q levels independently predicted a poor prognosis and DCI with equivalent predictive abilities to Hunt-Hess grade and modified Fisher grade (both p < 0.05). Conclusion: High levels of C1q in the blood is an independent risk factor for poor prognosis and the development of DCI in patients with aSAH. This can more objectively and accurately predict functional outcomes and the incidence of DCI. C1q may have a significant role in the mechanism behind DCI after aSAH.

Melasma, a common, acquired facial pigmentation skin disorder, presents a straightforward clinical diagnosis but poses challenges in terms of effective management. The precise underlying causes of melasma remain elusive, and the current therapeutic approaches predominantly encompass pharmaceutical and laser interventions, with limited efficacy. Transdermal administration stands as a prevalent treatment method for melasma, often facilitated by the application of microneedles. Among these, tranexamic acid emerges as a frequently employed therapeutic agent. A subset of microneedles, known as roller microneedles, plays a significant role in this approach by delicately puncturing the epidermis with multiple fine needles, synergizing with drug delivery. This methodology not only enhances drug absorption but also augments treatment efficacy while minimizing tissue trauma. These attributes forecast promising avenues for the treatment of melasma. This article primarily introduces the combination of roller microneedle and tranexamic acid solution in the treatment of melasma and demonstrates the efficacy of roller microneedle and tranexamic acid solution in the treatment of melasma through clinical cases.

The utilization of optimal orthodontic force is crucial to prevent undesirable side effects and ensure efficient tooth movement during orthodontic treatment. However, the sensitivity of existing detection techniques is not sufficient, and the criteria for evaluating optimal force have not been yet established. Here, by employing 3D finite element analysis methodology, we found that the apical distal region (A-D region) of mesial roots is particularly sensitive to orthodontic force in rats. Tartrate-resistant acidic phosphatase (TRAP)-positive osteoclasts began accumulating in the A-D region under the force of 40 grams (g), leading to alveolar bone resorption and tooth movement. When the force reached 80 g, TRAP-positive osteoclasts started appearing on the root surface in the A-D region. Additionally, micro-computed tomography revealed a significant root resorption at 80 g. Notably, the A-D region was identified as a major contributor to whole root resorption. It was determined that 40 g is the minimum effective force for tooth movement with minimal side effects according to the analysis of tooth movement, inclination, and hyalinization. These findings suggest that the A-D region with its changes on the root surface is an important consideration and sensitive indicator when evaluating orthodontic forces for a rat model. Collectively, our investigations into this region would aid in offering valuable implications for preventing and minimizing root resorption during patients' orthodontic treatment.

Cortical cataract, a common type of cataract, is particularly difficult to be diagnosed automatically due to the complex features of the lesions. Recently, many methods based on edge detection or deep learning were proposed for automatic cataract grading. However, these methods suffer a large performance drop in cortical cataract grading due to the more complex cortical opacities and uncertain data. In this paper, we propose a novel Transformer-based Knowledge Distillation Network, called TKD-Net, for cortical cataract grading. To tackle the complex opacity problem, we first devise a zone decomposition strategy to extract more refined features and introduce special sub-scores to consider critical factors of clinical cortical opacity assessment (location, area, density) for comprehensive quantification. Next, we develop a multi-modal mix-attention Transformer to efficiently fuse sub-scores and image modality for complex feature learning. However, obtaining the sub-score modality is a challenge in the clinic, which could cause the modality missing problem instead. To simultaneously alleviate the issues of modality missing and uncertain data, we further design a Transformer-based knowledge distillation method, which uses a teacher model with perfect data to guide a student model with modality-missing and uncertain data. We conduct extensive experiments on a dataset of commonly-used slit-lamp images annotated by the LOCS III grading system to demonstrate that our TKD-Net outperforms state-of-the-art methods, as well as the effectiveness of its key components. Graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) have garnered significant interest due to their highly customizable physicochemical properties and potential utility in nanoelectronics. Besides controlling widths and edge structures, the inclusion of chirality in GNRs brings another dimension for fine-tuning their optoelectronic properties, but related studies remain elusive owing to the absence of feasible synthetic strategies. Here, we demonstrate a novel class of cove-edged chiral GNRs (CcGNRs) with a tunable chiral vector (n,m). Notably, the bandgap and effective mass of (n,2)-CcGNR show a distinct positive correlation with the increasing value of n, as indicated by theory. Within this GNR family, two representative members, namely, (4,2)-CcGNR and (6,2)-CcGNR, are successfully synthesized. Both CcGNRs exhibit prominently curved geometries arising from the incorporated [4]helicene motifs along their peripheries, as also evidenced by the single-crystal structures of the two respective model compounds (1 and 2). The chemical identities and optoelectronic properties of (4,2)- and (6,2)-CcGNRs are comprehensively investigated via a combination of IR, Raman, solid-state NMR, UV-vis, and THz spectroscopies as well as theoretical calculations. In line with theoretical expectation, the obtained (6,2)-CcGNR possesses a low optical bandgap of 1.37 eV along with charge carrier mobility of ∼8 cm2 V-1 s-1, whereas (4,2)-CcGNR exhibits a narrower bandgap of 1.26 eV with increased mobility of ∼14 cm2 V-1 s-1. This work opens up a new avenue to precisely engineer the bandgap and carrier mobility of GNRs by manipulating their chiral vector.

As a common and critical medical image analysis task, deep learning based biomedical image segmentation is hindered by the dependence on costly fine-grained annotations. To alleviate this data dependence, in this paper, a novel approach, called Polygonal Approximation Learning (PAL), is proposed for convex object instance segmentation with only bounding-box supervision. The key idea behind PAL is that the detection model for convex objects already contains the necessary information for segmenting them since their convex hulls, which can be generated approximately by the intersection of bounding boxes, are equivalent to the masks representing the objects. To extract the essential information from the detection model, a repeated detection approach is employed on biomedical images where various rotation angles are applied and a dice loss with the projection of the rotated detection results is utilized as a supervised signal in training our segmentation model. In biomedical imaging tasks involving convex objects, such as nuclei instance segmentation, PAL outperforms the known models (e.g., BoxInst) that rely solely on box supervision. Furthermore, PAL achieves comparable performance with mask-supervised models including Mask R-CNN and Cascade Mask R-CNN. Interestingly, PAL also demonstrates remarkable performance on non-convex object instance segmentation tasks, for example, surgical instrument and organ instance segmentation. BACKGROUND: The puncture procedure in percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy (PELD) is non-visual, and the learning curve for PELD is steep. METHODS: An augmented reality surgical navigation (ARSN) system was designed and utilized in PELD. The system possesses three core functionalities: augmented reality (AR) radiograph overlay, AR puncture needle real-time tracking, and AR navigation. We conducted a prospective randomized controlled trial to evaluate its feasibility and effectiveness. A total of 20 patients with lumbar disc herniation treated with PELD were analyzed. Of these, 10 patients were treated with the guidance of ARSN (ARSN group). The remaining 10 patients were treated using C-arm fluoroscopy guidance (control group). RESULTS: The AR radiographs and AR puncture needle were successfully superimposed on the intraoperative videos. The anteroposterior and lateral AR tracking distance errors were 1.55 ± 0.17 mm and 1.78 ± 0.21 mm. The ARSN group exhibited a significant reduction in both the number of puncture attempts (2.0 ± 0.4 vs. 6.9 ± 0.5, p = 0.000) and the number of fluoroscopies (10.6 ± 0.9 vs. 18.5 ± 1.6, p = 0.000) compared with the control group. Complications were not observed in either group. CONCLUSIONS: The results indicate that the clinical application of the ARSN system in PELD is effective and feasible.

CdSe nanoplatelets (NPLs) are promising 2D semiconductors for optoelectronic applications, in which efficient charge transport properties are desirable. It is reported that thermal annealing constitutes an effective strategy to control the optical absorption and electrical properties of CdSe NPLs by tuning the inter-NPL distance. Combining optical absorption, transmission electron microscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis, it is revealed that the thermal decomposition of ligands (e.g., cadmium myristate) governs the inter-NPL distance and thus the inter-NPL electronic coupling strength. Employing ultrafast terahertz spectroscopy, it is shown that this enhanced electronic coupling increases both the free carrier generation efficiency and the short-range mobility in NPL solids. The results show a straightforward method of controlling the interfacial electronic coupling strength for developing functional optoelectronic devices through thermal treatments.

Evidence shows that charge carriers in organic semiconductors self-localize because of dynamic disorder. Nevertheless, some organic semiconductors feature reduced mobility at increasing temperature, a hallmark for delocalized band transport. Here we present the temperature-dependent mobility in two record-mobility organic semiconductors: dinaphtho[2,3-b:2',3'-f]thieno[3,2-b]-thiophene (DNTT) and its alkylated derivative, C8-DNTT-C8. By combining terahertz photoconductivity measurements with atomistic non-adiabatic molecular dynamics simulations, we show that while both crystals display a power-law decrease of the mobility (µ) with temperature (T) following µ ∝ T -n, the exponent n differs substantially. Modelling reveals that the differences between the two chemically similar semiconductors can be traced to the delocalization of the different states that are thermally accessible by charge carriers, which in turn depends on their specific electronic band structure. The emerging picture is that of holes surfing on a dynamic manifold of vibrationally dressed extended states with a temperature-dependent mobility that provides a sensitive fingerprint for the underlying density of states.

BACKGROUND: In minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS), where the surgeon cannot directly see the patient's internal anatomical structure, the implementation of augmented reality (AR) technology may solve this problem. METHODS: We combined AR, artificial intelligence, and optical tracking to enhance the augmented reality minimally invasive spine surgery (AR-MISS) system. The system has three functions: AR radiograph superimposition, AR real-time puncture needle tracking, and AR intraoperative navigation. The three functions of the system were evaluated through beagle animal experiments. RESULTS: The AR radiographs were successfully superimposed on the real intraoperative videos. The anteroposterior (AP) and lateral errors of superimposed AR radiographs were 0.74 ± 0.21 mm and 1.13 ± 0.40 mm, respectively. The puncture needles could be tracked by the AR-MISS system in real time. The AP and lateral errors of the real-time AR needle tracking were 1.26 ± 0.20 mm and 1.22 ± 0.25 mm, respectively. With the help of AR radiographs and AR puncture needles, the puncture procedure could be guided visually by the system in real-time. The anteroposterior and lateral errors of AR-guided puncture were 2.47 ± 0.86 mm and 2.85 ± 1.17 mm, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: The results indicate that the AR-MISS system is accurate and applicable.

Precise synthesis of graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) is of great interest to chemists and materials scientists because of their unique opto-electronic properties and potential applications in carbon-based nanoelectronics and spintronics. In addition to the tunable edge structure and width, introducing curvature in GNRs is a powerful structural feature for their chemi-physical property modification. Here, we report an efficient solution synthesis of the first pyrene-based GNR (PyGNR) with curved geometry via one-pot K-region oxidation and Scholl cyclization of its corresponding well-soluble tetrahydropyrene-based polyphenylene precursor. The efficient A2B2-type Suzuki polymerization and subsequent Scholl reaction furnishes up to ∼35 nm long curved GNRs bearing cove- and armchair-edges. The construction of model compound 1, as a cutout of PyGNR, from a tetrahydropyrene-based oligophenylene precursor proves the concept and efficiency of the one-pot K-region oxidation and Scholl cyclization, which is clearly revealed by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The structure and optical properties of PyGNR are investigated by Raman, FT-IR, solid-state NMR, STM and UV-Vis analysis with the support of DFT calculations. PyGNR exhibits a narrow optical bandgap of ∼1.4 eV derived from a Tauc plot, qualifying as a low-bandgap GNR. Moreover, THz spectroscopy on PyGNR estimates its macroscopic charge mobility µ as ∼3.6 cm2 V-1 s-1, outperforming several other curved GNRs reported via conventional Scholl reaction.

Limonoids are a class of oxygenated terpenoids that exist mainly in citrus fruits. As a kind of limonoid, obacunone has attracted more and more researchers' attention because of its extensive pharmacological activities. The purpose of the narrative review is to systematically review relevant studies on the pharmacological effects and pharmacokinetic characteristics of obacunone to provide researchers with the latest and useful information. Pharmacological studies have shown that obacunone has a variety of pharmacological activities, such as anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetes, neuroprotection, antibiosis, and antivirus. Among them, the anticancer effect is the most prominent. Pharmacokinetic studies have shown that the oral bioavailability of obacunone is low. This indicates the presence of high first-pass metabolism. We hope that this paper can help relevant scholars understand the progress in pharmacological and pharmacokinetic research of obacunone and help the further development of obacunone as a functional food.

OBJECTIVE: To explore and analyze the clinical efficacy of a stepwise decompression technique in the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia (TN) caused by vertebrobasilar dolichoectasia (VBD). METHODS: A total of 918 patients with TN admitted to our hospital from June 2015 to May 2020 were divided into the VBD group (n = 61) and the conventional group (n = 857). The VBD group underwent stepwise decompression, while the conventional group received traditional microvascular decompression (MVD) surgery. Patients associated with the VBD were divided into direct compression (n = 14) and indirect compression group (n = 47) who had compression by other vessels in the presence of the VBD. Thereafter, the clinical data, intraoperative findings, efficacy, and complications were analyzed. RESULTS: The curative ratio, efficacy, and recurrence rate for the VBD and conventional group were 83.6% and 89.6%, 93.4% and 95.3%, and 8.2% and 5.3%, respectively. The curative ratio, efficacy, and recurrence rate for the direct compression and indirect compression group were 85.7% and 83.0%, 92.9% and 93.6%, and 7.1% and 8.5%, separately. There were no significant differences in the curative ratio, efficacy, recurrence rate, and the incidence of complications between the two series (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: For TN caused by VBD, stepwise decompression not only reduces the direct compression of the trigeminal nerve by VBA but also allows identification and decompression of the actual vessels responsible for the compression. It has a good curative ratio, efficacy, and long-term pain relief rate, and it does not significantly increase the incidences of complications after surgery.
